After you have created your email account in cPanel, the easiest way to configure your email program for that account is to do an automatic setup.
To do this, log in to your cPanel control panel, and click the Email Accounts icon.
Your email accounts will now be listed. To configure an email acount, to the right of the email account click the More button with the down arrow.
You will then see an option for Configure Email Client. After clicking that you will see a list of Auto Configuration Scripts.
You should click the one appropriate for your email program you are using. We suggest selecting IMAP over SSL for your correct email client.
Alternatively you can do a manual setup:
Settings you need to set up an email client:
Username - your username is the whole email address, eg jsmith@yourdomain.com.au
Password - if you have forgotten your email password you can reset it in cPanel
POP3 or IMAP - if you are checking the email account on more than one device, eg on your phone and your PC, and you want to keep the email between the 2 devices in sync then you should select IMAP.
