SSL can only be used with WordPress once the SSL is installed. You can install WordPress while you are waiting for the SSL to be installed though you need to change the WordPress site URL’s later.

Add SSL when Installing WordPress using Softaculous

If your SSL is already installed and you are ready to install WordPress go to Softaculous in cPanel and start the WordPress installation. You will see the option to select either http or https from the domain drop box. Select the https domain URL from the drop box that you want to use. This will setup WordPress to start using the SSL straight away.

Add SSL to an existing WordPress Website

► Login to WordPress admin

► click Settings

► update WordPress Address (URL) include “s” in the url eg. https://yourdomain.com.au

► update Site Address (URL) include “s” in the url eg. https://yourdomain.com.au

Is SSL installed on my domain

You need to visit your website by typing https://yourdomain.com.au into your web browser. Don’t forget to add the “s” to the http part, that is
