An Addon Domain allows you to host more than one website from within your cPanel account. An addon domain points to a different folder than your main domain.
Login to your cPanel ► Domains ► Addon Domains
In the New Domain Name text box enter the domain you are adding.
cPanel will auto populate the Subdomain and Document Root text boxes.
Do not tick on the box next to “Create an FTP account associated with this Addon Domain.”
Unless specifically warranted ((eg giving limited access to a developer or similar), an FTP account for the addon domain is not recommended.
Click Add Domain to create the Addon domain.
cPanel will automatically add an SSL certificate for the addon domain.
“Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver. “
If you do receive that error make sure the DNS servers for the addon domain are set correctly as mentioned above. Feel free to contact us for help with any addon domain questions or problems.
